WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 3 Blocks of Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
  • 8 Ounces Sour Cream
  • ¾ Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 2 Stalks Scallions, Chopped (Green Parts Only)
  • 2 Slices Mozzarella Cheese (1/16 inch thick)
  • Salt + Pepper to Taste

DIRECTIONS

Combine cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, scallions, salt and pepper in a bowl. Using a stand blender or hand-held blender, whip together ingredients until formed into a spreadable consistency. Transfer the dip onto a tray, placing the mixture in the center, covering with two layers of plastic wrap while molding spread with hands. Shape cream cheese mixture into the formation of a football then remove wrap. Top with Volpi Pepperoni & Chorizo Crumbles until fully covered. Slice mozzarella cheese into 3/8-inch strips and place two long strands in a single line to form laces on the top of football. Cut remaining mozzarella into shorter strips of cheese, placing shorter strips over the longer strips, overlapping the pieces to mimic a football lace.

TIPS for MAKing at home.

Be careful to not over-salt the dip mixture. This combination of ingredients is topped with Volpi Pepperoni & Chorizo Crumble – which adds a heavy bold, smoky, and salty taste at the end of spread recipe. For more inspiration, check out our Instagram and Facebook.
